What You Need to Know About How to Play Shan Koe Mee
Shan Koe Mee is a card game that has been loved across Myanmar for many years. If you understand how the game works, you'll enjoy playing it even more.
How Cards Are Dealt
Normally each player receives 3 cards. After players make their choices, the banker reveals their own cards.
How Points Are Counted
The last digit of the total of 3 cards is taken as the score. For example — 7 + 8 + 6 = 21 → score of 1. A score of 9 is the highest value.
| Special Hands | Description |
|---|---|
| Shan Koe Mee | Three identical cards — the highest special hand |
| Kar Win | Three consecutive suited cards (similar to a Straight Flush) |
| Score 9 | A hand whose card total ends in 9 |
| Score 0 | Total ending in 0 — not the highest |
The Banker and Banker Rotation
The banker rotates according to the set format. The banker compares their cards against each player's cards one by one, and the higher hand wins.
Bankroll Notice: Set a limit on how much you are willing to spend before you play. We encourage you not to play beyond the amount you can afford to lose.
What Is RTP and House Edge
What Is RTP (Return to Player)
RTP is the percentage of total bets placed that a game is expected to pay back to players. For example — if the RTP is 96%, you can expect an average of 96 Ks out of every 100 Ks wagered to be returned to players. However, this is not a per-session figure; it is an average calculated across millions of rounds.
What Is House Edge
House Edge is the percentage that remains when RTP is subtracted from 100%. It represents the rate of return to the casino. The lower the House Edge, the better the game is for players.
RTP Ranges by Game Type
Slots — typically between 92% and 98%. Blackjack — can reach around 99% with good strategy. Roulette — European Roulette sits between 94% and 97%, while American Roulette has a higher House Edge.
Why You Should Know This
Knowing RTP and House Edge helps you decide which games suit your budget. Note that high volatility games can pay out big wins but may result in losses more often.
